ManagedSignalOperationsOfSingle.GetPreferred1DFftLength Method

Returns an efficient directly supported one-dimensional FFT work length greater than or equal to the specified minimum.

Definition

Namespace: Numerics.NET.SignalProcessing
Assembly: Numerics.NET.SinglePrecision (in Numerics.NET.SinglePrecision.dll) Version: 10.8.0
C#
public override int GetPreferred1DFftLength(
	int minimumLength,
	FftDomain domain
)

Parameters

minimumLength  Int32
The minimum acceptable transform length.
domain  FftDomain
The source domain of the transform.

Return Value

Int32
A directly supported transform length greater than or equal to minimumLength.

Remarks

This method is intended for algorithms such as linear convolution where additional zero-padding does not change the mathematical result. Explicit calls to Create1DRealFft(Int32) and Create1DComplexFft(Int32) continue to request their exact lengths.

Exceptions

ArgumentOutOfRangeExceptionminimumLength is less than one, or domain is not a defined FftDomain value.
